Over the last few months there have been several updates that have taken place on the Xero app so we thought it would be super helpful for you if they were all in one place. I know that some of you are iPhone fanatics and some are Android all the way. You can now toggle between dark and light mode in the app. The benefits of having a light text on a dark background are that it is gentler on your eyes, rather than the usual blinding whiteness of a phone screen. It can also increase your battery life on your phone.
Previously an invoice could be entered without an account on a line item. Xero have improved this now and made it simpler and faster to enter an invoice accurately from your phone.
Now you can Send a photo or PDF from your iPhone to a draft bill in Xero
Attach source documents when creating spend money transactions while reconciling.
Expense claims can now be split out across multiple item lines, with different account codes, projects and customers. It means you no longer need to do this when you get back to the office.
Searching for bills within the mobile app is now easy to do. This is a handy feature if you need to check if a bill has been paid – a supplier may have rung you or you may wish to purchase more. You can also search for a bill using a supplier name, reference, total amount. iOS users also can search through the Recent Spending list.
