Hopefully by now you are aware that Payday filing has arrived and that from 1 April 2019 you should have been filing all employment information every payday (weekly payroll must file weekly; fortnightly must file fortnightly etc). This is for both your employment information schedules (the payday schedules) and also your employee details report (this is the details for all new and departing employees).
Surprisingly there are still some businesses out there that are not aware of this and so have not been complying. While IR have, to date, taken a fairly lenient approach to the non-filing and have been sending warnings in the form of an ‘education’ letter, this is all about to change.
